Mission Statement.
Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine are committed to promoting an environment free from bias, inequity, and prejudice. Each individual’s uniqueness is valued and helps create an inclusive, respectful, equitable, and productive environment that capitalizes on the similarities and differences between individuals. We define diversity and inclusion as a culture in which all patients, faculty, house-staff, students, caregivers and staff are accepted, respected, and embraced. Our definition of diversity includes, but is not limited to the dimensions of race, gender, religion, nationality, age, disability, veteran status, ethnicity, and real or perceived sexual orientation.
